Chronic rhinitis in glassblowers

چکیده
The aim 1. To examine the prevalence of chronic rhinitis among glassblowers (experimental group) and control group based on objective findings at nasal mucosa. 2. To examine using appropriate statistical methods whether or not chronic rhinitis have higher prevalence in group of glassblowers. 3. To examine whether or not prevalence of chronic rhinitis depends on duration of exposure to noxious factors.

Chronic laryngitis in glassblowers.
Glassblowers are exposed to numerous physical and chemical noxious factors at their workplace. Mucosal layer of upper aerodigestive tract (nose, oral cavity, pharynx and larynx) is particularly vulnerable to the influence of these factors. Inhalation of hot gases, dust particles, and oral contact with glassblower's pipe are the most important factors that can cause chronic inflammation of the u...

The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between A...
متن کاملDecreased serum level of lipoxin A4 (LXA4) may contribute to the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis
Background: Rhinitis is a prevalent chronic inflammatory disease of the nasal mucosa. Arachidonic acid-derived lipoxin A4 (LXA4) has long been recognized to exert crucial anti-inflammatory and pro-resolving effects on inflammatory responses through a specific receptor named formyl peptide receptor-2 (FPR2). This study aimed to determine the serum level of LXA4 as well as the relative mRNA expre...
